Nanny Poppins LLC’s background investigation service is available to families who have hired a nanny or other domestic employee through another agency or independently.

Many nanny agencies are not providing a thorough background investigation with each placement. They may be doing only a Massachusetts wide criminal check (CORI) without first using a personal profile, consequently failing to investigate other area’s in which the nanny has lived.

Online nanny search websites are not regulated and therefore are not required to perform any type of background check. Always check to make sure that an agency that is located out of state is licensed to do business in MA.Agencies who place nannies in MA are required to be licensed and to have a place of business in this state. There are agencies out of state who are currently placing nannies without a proper license.
